Beginnings
David Tan has a Masters Degree in law from Harvard and graduated first in his class with honors in law from the University of Melbourne. He was also valedictorian of the year at Trinity College.

Career
David Tan’s photographs promoting Singapore in a photographic campaign all appeared in Time and Vanity Fair. He has also appeared in Harpers Bazaar, Elle, FHM and Marie Claire.

In Today’s Culture
David is very passionate about his art and has said “Beauty in fashion photography combines our insatiable appetite for the provocative paganism of the body with a desire to immortalize this precious yet transient moment.”

Honors
David Tan was named 1998 Outstanding Young Person of Singapore and Singapore Tatler’s Most Promising Young Person.
